4th INTERNATIONAL Music camp

From the 1st to the 7th of August 2019, Jing Han and Bertrand Lavrenov will organize their 4th International Music Camp. It will take place in Gao Tai in one of the most beautiful regions of China.


Any pianist, violinist, violist or cellist may apply for this music camp. There are no limits of age, experience or citizenship. It is open to anyone who wishes to receive advice from experienced teachers during one week of intense musical life.

Participants will receive individual classes as well as chamber music or/and orchestra classes. Concerts will be organized at night to give the chance to all participants to try out what they have learned. In addition to the individual classes that each participant will receive, extra musical and other activities will be organized.

Qualified and experienced teachers of international reputation will give classes during the week. Participants can choose between “Active” or “Passive” participation.

Active Participation :

  • minimum 3 x 45’ individual lessons.

  • minimum 3 x 45’ chamber music lessons.

  • for strings players - daily orchestra rehearsals.

  • for pianists - daily piano group workshops.

  • access to visits.

  • access to "thematic conferences" (ex. baroque music, romanticism in music, ...).

  • participation in the students' concerts.

  • access to the Teachers' concert.

  • access to any lesson as an observer.

  • Participation Diploma.

Participation Passive :

  • access to any lesson as an observer.

  • How to get there? 1. Gao Tai South Station - 2. Zhangye Airport - 3. Jiayu Guan Airport / Transfer to the music camp will be organized from those three places.

  • Classes & Lessons? Violin, Viola, Cello, Piano.

  • Individual lessons, Chamber Music lessons and/or orchestra rehearsals.

  • For whom? Anyone may apply - There are no limits of age, experience or citizenship.

  • Accomodation? Full accommodation (double, triple or quadruple rooms) on the premises of the music camp.

  • Fee*? Active Participation : 1000€ / Passive Participation : 450€

Jing Han and Bertrand Lavrenov have been developing international musical projects for several years. The organization of music courses, concerts, competitions, etc. allowed them to work with more than three hundred professional and non-professional musicians.

The success of their projects and the enthusiasm of the participants are their driving force to continue developing these exchanges.

Yuri Zhislin

- Violin and viola teacher at the Royal College of Music in London.- Winner of several international competitions, including; Pablo de Sarasate (1991), Douai International Violin Competition, Premio Trio Trieste Chamber Music Competition.- Invited to participate in many festivals, masterclasses and international competitions.- Member of the Rosamunde Quartet.


Yi Zhong

- Violin teacher at "Xi'an's Conservatory of Music".- Vice-President of Xi'an's Conservatory of Music Secondary School.- Guest Concertmaster of Xi'an's Symphonic Orchestra.- Director of the association of Chinese violinists.- Jury of numerous national and international competitions.


Hue Ming Wen

- Violin teacher at "Zhe Jiang Conservatory of Music".- Doctorate in violin (Conservatory of Dresden) & Chamber Music (Conservatory of Liepzig).- Guest Concertmaster of the Liepzig Philharmonic Orchestra.- Jury of numerous national and international competitions.


Bo He

- Guest Professor at "Xi'an's Conservatory of Music".- Concermaster of Xi'an's Symphonic Orchestra.- Guest Conductor "Xi'an's Youth Orchestra".- Jury of numerous national and international competitions.- Artist Recognized by the Chinese state.

Yi Wang

- Violin teacher at "University of Arts and Sciences" in Lanzhou.- Expert Guest at the "Alto International Festival" of the Central Conservatory in China.- Member of the "Association of Musicians of China".- Jury of numerous national and international competitions.


Vincent Royer

- Chamber Music teacher at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Liege.- Winner of several awards including; the "Xennakis" prize and the "Lavoisier" scholarship.- Improviser & Composer.- Collaborated with many composers including; Horatiu Radulescu, Luc Ferrari, Pascal Dusapin, Vinko Globokar, Jean-Luc Fafchamps, etc.


David Cohen

- Cello teacher at the "Ecole Supérieure des Arts" of Mons.- Winners of more than 25 national and international competition.- Elected "Rising Star" for the 2002-2003 season by the "Royal Philharmonic Society of Belgium" and the "Concert Gebouw" of Amsterdam.- In his young career, has played as a soloist with conductors such as; Lord Y. Menenuh, M. Rostropovich, V. Ashkenazy, C. V. Dohnanyi.


Akiko Chiba

- "Music Coach" at the "Yehudi Menuhin School".- Graduated from the Julliard School & the Mannes College in New York.- Laureate of numerous awards and honors both as a soloist and as a member of various chamber music ensembles.- Internationally renowned artist.


1. Participants should choose a teacher with whom they wish to study. The direction has the right to redirect the participant to another teacher if they believe the choice is wiser.
2. Participants can’t change from one teacher to another without the permission of the direction.
3. Participation in the course implies subscribing to an insurance (from participant's choice).
4. The organizers and the management will in no case be held responsible for the absence of a teacher, whatever the cause. Nevertheless, they will undertake, as far as possible, to provide a replacement teacher, the choice of whom is indisputable.
5. Registration is validated after payment of the total amount of options requested (active participation or passive participation) as well as the return of the duly completed registration form. The deadline is Monday the 1st of July 2019. After this date, registration will not be guaranteed.
6. The participants are responsible for the steps related to their visa application and their booking of airline tickets. The costs related to these are their responsibility. The organizers will provide the participant with an official invitation letter (essential for the visa application) after receiving the application and payment of registration fee. In case of non-participation because of visa refusal or transport issue, the participant will not be able to claim any refund. !!! It is recommended to apply for a visa within 3 to 1 month before the departure date !!!
7. Participants are required to have a respectful attitude towards all the other people on the course as well as to the equipment. Any bad behaviour will be penalized and may result in the immediate dismissal of the person(s) responsible. In this case, no refund will be made. The management recalls that it is forbidden to consume alcohol or narcotic drugs on the premises of the training course or during the external activities.
8. The management declines all responsibility for theft or damage of personal instruments or objects.
9. The presence of managers during the Music Camp is guaranteed 24 hours a day. However, parental authorization will be required for minor participants.
10. Responsibility for the management and organization of the training course cannot be engaged for any bodily injury or material damage caused or suffered by any student during the entire Music Camp.
11. In case of cancellation of the course by the organizers, the full refund of the sums paid will be made.
12. Registration for the course implies unreserved adherence to the clauses of these general conditions of registration. This without any recourse possible.
13. Only the French version of the Regulation shall prevail.
